What Make Your Mark is Make Your Mark is a ceramic commissioning platform. It translates design references into commission proposals and connects designers with ceramic makers and studios. The written brief is the deliverable. Generated images are translation artifacts that help clarify intent — they are not finished objects, guaranteed outcomes, or purchase commitments.

What we provide We provide:

A platform to upload design references and receive a translated commission proposal Access to a curated network of ceramic makers and studios A brief that can serve as the basis for a commission conversation with a maker

We do not guarantee:

That a maker will accept your commission That the generated proposal will match your references exactly Specific pricing, lead times, or availability — those are determined by the maker

Your references and content When you upload images or provide information through this site, you confirm that:

You have the right to share those images You are not uploading images that belong to someone else without permission You are not uploading content that is harmful, illegal, or offensive

You retain ownership of what you upload. By submitting references you grant Make Your Mark a limited license to use them to generate your commission proposal and route your brief to makers.

Our content The Make Your Mark name, mark, design system, generated briefs, and platform content belong to Make Your Mark. You may not reproduce, copy, or use them without permission. Commission briefs generated from your references are produced for your use in connection with your commission. They may not be resold or used for commercial purposes unrelated to your commission.

How to use this site You agree to use this site honestly and for its intended purpose. You agree not to:

Upload content you do not have the right to share Attempt to manipulate or abuse the translation pipeline Use the platform to generate content for purposes other than a genuine commission inquiry Circumvent the access gate or attempt to access areas of the platform not intended for you

Commission relationships Make Your Mark connects designers with makers. Any commission that results from a brief is a direct relationship between the designer and the maker or studio. Make Your Mark is not a party to that agreement and is not responsible for the outcome of commissions arranged through the platform.

Limitation of liability Make Your Mark provides this platform in good faith. We are not liable for losses arising from your use of the platform, the content of generated proposals, or the outcome of commission relationships with makers.

Changes to these terms If we make meaningful changes we will update the effective date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota.
